Our Story
I believe storytelling is the essence of successful marketing. The important questions in business are the same as a good play. Who is the audience? Who are the cast of characters? What is the objective? What obstacles are in the way, and how can they be overcome?
I am a storyteller at heart. It began when I was eleven, juggling for dollars on the streets of Newburyport, MA, aspiring to the skills of vaudevillian greats like Bobby May, branding myself before I even knew what marketing was. Then as a young actor in New York City, giving breath to the words of playwrights from Shakespeare to Tom Stoppard, the necessity of effectively marketing myself became clear. My career depended on it. Even more so when I began a theatre company and became responsible for the success of a small business that included several other people.
Eventually my path took a new turn that led to a full-time marketing position at an NPR station. There I discovered my passion for digital marketing and found I had a talent for helping entrepreneurs and small businesses tell their story. From that realization Hal Fickett & Company was born.
Now we are a growing collaboration of skilled creatives, who are all gifted storytellers and passionate about communicating the value of your brand. Our desire is to help you build your audience, overcome any obstacles and achieve your objective, while being flexible enough to provide as much or as little support as you need.
